Last night, I went to bed perfectly fine. Took my Ambien and Soma as usual, and because I did a lot yesterday, I fell asleep pretty early (for me).

This morning, after having slept MUCH too hard, I awoke to horrible throat pain, coughing, and loss of my voice. (The dogs wouldn't even respond to my croaks - just looked at me all funny.)

So I guess I picked up some sort of bug at church on Sunday. Either that or my dear hubby brought home some bug from work.

The timing is just perfect - I just finished the antibiotic from my dental surgery on Sunday.

Achy all over, hot then cold, so I'm just gonna spent the day in bed watching tv with frequent trips to take the dogs to potty. May take a nebulizer treatment if it looks like it's going into my lungs.

In the words of the immortal Rosannadanna: "It's always something!"

Jaynie here's the good news. You can come on MDJ and talk to us with out using your voice! and you can pray without it too Smile

I wish I had had a few more days of antibiotics. But no, I won't be having any called in. I am highly allergic to most antibiotics - there are now only three left that I can take without serious consequences. The only oral one is clindamycin. I don't dare take them more than once a year. My teeth were so bad, my dentist insisted this time.

Unfortunately, I've got to go take some paperwork to my SSD attorney tomorrow, and some more paperwork to my hubby's child support attorney late tomorrow afternoon. Thank goodness I got all my medical records faxed to the federal SSD office yesterday.

Keep praying that I get awarded the disability on this round, and don't have to go through yet more of this ridiculous rigamarole. I actually applied 2 1/2 years ago. The judge actually agreed that on the medications I am taking, I am unable to work. My medical records should back that up.

In the last 2 years, I've had the same problem with my throat. No cold, no pain but sounding very hoarse and/or laryngitis. I've also had a number of episodes of coughing like crazy, uncontrollably, at times. Never have I been sick with these, so I do wonder if it is caused by the RA.

Hope you ankles and toes clear up,and your voice gets back to normal soon.

This morning, the coughing started and my nose is runny. Must have either caught it at church or hubby brought it home with him somehow. Everyone wash your hands after you read this!

I'm gonna be wearing a mask everywhere after this. I hate being sick!

Already had two nebulizer treatments for the chest tightness. Worked pretty good, but they make me jittery.
