Have a couple of questions about our friend MTX LOL... does anyone or has anyone ever experienced alot of gas pain a couple days after taking it? and do u know if this medicine or RAD itself can cause heart palpations?

It could be my anxiety attacks coming back but just want to be sure

Cool

It never caused me gas or heart palpatations. Have you looked at the side effects?

I always call a pharmacist when "things" happen and it's too late to call doc.

If your's is not open, there are 24 hour ones. I call WalGreens and have always been helped.

Have you considered going to ER? Yes, it could be anxiety, but could be something far more serious.

Do you have anxiety meds to take? Does it stop when you take them?

Remember, it is always better to be safe than sorry.

Praying for you.

I get palpitations all the time, it got a lot worse when I was put on prednisone. It kinda freaks me out when it happens which I think tends to make it worse for a few minutes but usually after I take my anxiety meds is calms down. We have a lot to be anxious about and I don't think it's something we realize most of the time. You should definitely discuss it with your doctor just to make sure it's not something else.

Best wishes to you Alby

No never had any gas. I already have irregular heart beat so a lot of medication I take messes with me. I still have palpatations and yes prednisone on higher doses make them worse.

If it seems to be alot of them go to a cardiologist and if your really thinks something wrong go to the ER.

My body did not like MTX it was worse than palpatations. I can't explain maybe it was more like an allergic reaction but I am very sensitive to medicines.

My dr said MTX does not cause palpatations and the pharmacist said no also. I have read in a study at higher doses it could but we take low doses.

Palpatations can happen for many reasons.

After reading this I'm so glad I'm staying away from Prednisone. My thyroid gives me palpatations I don't need more.

I want off prednisone but I truly believe I wouldn't be able to get out of bed if I stopped it. I only take 5mg. One of my rheumatologist gave me depromedrol shots one time was 40 mg and the next 80 mg and did that mess with my heart never again will I take them shots. the 40 mg was not to bad. I had muscle weakness too.

I was reading Nsaids can cause joint pain?

I hope to get better with plaquenil and be done with prednisone soon.

I know if I eat alot of carbs I can get palpatations after a meal.

I have had both. I just took my 10th dose last night and was lying in bed with some stomach cramping. It doesn't always happen but I will eat light today to help things out !

Also, I have had heart palpatations from time to time, blamed it on too much coffee but I seem to have it more often these days - but I agree, it's not a symptom you want to fool around with.

Night sweats..........ugh, definitely getting those here & there. I usually wake up just before it starts & know its coming, awful feeling. Instant sweat, the bridge of my nose is even wet!!!

That, & I am just tired today, 9 hours of sleep & still hard to get up.
