MDJunction to me

Macv"For me, MDjunction has been a place where I can share my experiences
living with the very rare bone disease called Ollier's ( Enchondromatosis ) with the parents of children recently diagnosed. I can help them not to run
into the pitfalls my parents did when I was young, give them a bit of a view
from their child's perspective and simply be there to offer support and
hope to people who are scared and just had their lives upended. I also belong to a chronic pain group and it's been a Godsend to be able to actually
talk with others who understand what I'm dealing with. Besides them helping me through my tough times, I can be there to help them as well. Here too, I can use my years of experience to help others avoid pitfalls and it makes me feel good, gives my life more purpose. MDjunction brings people
together when their suffering, at their darkest and feeling alone in this world and allows some light to be brought back into their lives. HOPE, that's what
MDjunction means to me!

I'm sorry to hear this. Try not to let it get you down...too much.

We're here if you need to talk about it dear.

Hi Heager, did doc do anything new about it? Hoping you are not feeling it to badly. Mine flucuate constantly now after 2 solid years of high tests. It does get easier to live with RA, the coping just never ends. I've given up on believing I will ever have a painfree life and know I will just have to roll with the punches now so that's what I do. Down on my bad days and as much as I can handle on the good ones.

Hugs, Donna

Donna

I guess the doctor is going to increase or change your meds?

I was really hoping things would just get better as I had really bad allergies and sinus infections this past 6 months. I attempted the MTX one time and I thought it gave me heart palpatations. MTX did not give me the palpatations it was prednisone and probably hormonal issues. Then I have had these allergies and sinus infections off and on. Now I feel better but stiffer so I am starting the MTX this week. I seriously can't wait because I need to get working again and like to go out in the world feeling a little better.

That's why I can't take prednisone as well, and the racing heart thing. So pleasant..

Hopefully when you get some of that Mtx in your system for a little while, you'll begin to see the difference and it will empower you both physically and emotionally.

Will continue keeping you in positive thoughts..

I do not have many sinus problems so when I had (have) sinuitis/bronchitis along with the flu I really understood how badly sinus problems can make one feel. Yuck...

heager, wow..to think you have been suffering so long with sinus infections.

The only thing I can do to help RA is pred bursts. My hate/love med. I only do it when desperate.

Though, it helps I become a weeping emotional mess for awhile. Sigh...

donna, like you, I have resigned myself to life as it is. Pain will always be with me...it's just part of the disease.

However, I am determined to control it as much as possible. Life can still have meaning and beauty with controlled pain.

You and I have been here a long time and one thing consistent is the pain.

I wish I could say it is much better after 4 years but it is not. Maybe, it would have been for me if I could take RA meds. Maybe?

Big hugs friends

Well any infection causes inflammation within the body, so that may be causing the additional inflammation and your numbers to rise.
