Since Bits tells of the wonderful time cooking with her granddaughter. I felt I wanted to share this.

We decided to make the dirt cake that was posted earlier by Tonya. As we headed into the kitchen we talked about the ingredients. B (short for Brenton) said right away he would like to lick the bowl, if it's good. I had to remind him to wash his hands. His first job was to use the blender(food processor) to crumble the Oreos. What does it matter what the machine is called Do I have to pick out the big pieces? and I have to remember to lift the blade out before pouring. Good, a few new things learned, but look at the crumbs all over the island and the floor and some in the tummy. (he's 15 and not a neat nick)As we go on more oops, its only whip cream or milk or what ever he spilled. I am now covered with pudding, milk or what ever he spilled. B just licks it off his shirt, says yum and continues. :0) The last thing I say empty the shelf for the 9x13 pan. Did I state that wrong? As I'm re-emptying the shelf. He's headed to lick the bowl, but slips and it now all over him!

Justice, as I go change my shirt. CLAP

Clap,

I loooove it! Chefing with kids is anything but boring.

God bless B, his mind was on licking the bowl along with whatever else was lickable...like his shirt.

Shoot, I bet when he slipped instead of whining he was in the throes of ecstacy thinking about more licks. LOL!!!!

Hey, you could have given your shirt to B. Sounds like he would have done a proffesional cleaning job.

Can't stop laughing!!!!!!!

That's too funny! I can just picture him licking his shirt. Laughing My husband was licking it yesterday as well. We served ours and of course the oreo's managed to jump out of the pan onto the counter and the kids (not my kids, family memebers) kept scraping them of the counter and eating them. Again sorry I messed up the directions. I hope it was still good though.

Btw---You can leave the chunks of cookies in or reblend them. I do it either way depending on how I feel. Sometimes I like chunky.

Friends That's my B, he can do some interesting things! I read him the posts and he was lol at his own antics. After baking he went and sat in Dad's lap, just to cuddle. (B is my artist)

LOL! I could picture the whole thing. Kind of a Lucy and Ethel escapade. I love that your son isn't afraid to show affection. My son was affectionate in public way past the time that most boys are. It's so special and warms the heart.
