So I'm having a rare good day and gonna get some pool time in. First 10 minutes out I got 2 wasps stalking me. Five minutes later, sure as hell, one stings me on my ass cheek. I'm allergic to them! Hurts like nobody's business. My day is ruined. Took some benedryl and have to wait for friend to get home to get the stinger out.

I feel like there is just this dark force or something out to get me all the time....lol. Just one thing after another.

Last year, one got me on a finger and I was swelled and sore up to my elbow for 2 weeks. This can't be good.

We've had a problem with those stalker wasps this year too!! My coworker JUST finished telling me how she got stung by three of them on Friday. Maybe they're extra cranky from the heat?

I hope that you don't have a horrible reaction, and that your friend is able to remove your stinger. Well, the bee's stinger.... What a lousy area to be stung.

Donna,

Phew, it boggles the mind. I hope you end up without a bad reaction.

I'll pray that you feel better soon. Your bad luck is bound to turn soon and then you will appreciate the good times even more. I've found that in my life, anyway.

Donna, Hope you're okay. My stepson got stung by one yesterday. I had him take Benadryl. The swelling where he got stung at is going down, he's okay.

Hope things get better for you. GBHugs, Donna Evans

Twenty years ago (I was 34) I drove over to my mom's on a hot summer day much like this one. As I exited the car wasp swooped into my blouse. Here I stand in my mom's driveway, people in their yards, and I do striptease.

Yep, first the blouse then the bra. Thank goodness someone stopped me before I yanked off my pants and underpants. LOL!

Come to find out it wasn't a wasp but wasps. Two of them and they both stung me. I have little doubt I scred them badly enough to do so. If only I had taken my clothes of calmly. Oh no, I shimmyed and shook like a 2 dollar hooker. I am suprised when it was over I did not find lots of one dollar bills surrounding me. I at least like to think the show could have gotten me ten bucks or so.

When we were kid mama used to put damp tobacco (from cig) on our stings. Old timey remedy. Herb, good to know using meat tenderizer and water works well.

Donna, hope your dark cloud passes and it's sunshine all the way.

Hi Donna -I hope you are feeling better today and that you didn't have too bad of a reaction to the bee sting .. was your friend able to get the stinger out?

Keeping my fingers crossed that you do not have to endure anymore extra pain, you already have so much going on. *hugs*

Oh Donna.... Swap, darn swap.... It would be funny if it wasn't bad. I'm kind of feeling like you, though no swaps involved. But all on life is cycles so the good one has to be around the corner!

You guys are great. I know it is just a sting but it really is just one thing after another with me. I am still hurting pretty bad this morning. Neighbor (nurse) got the stinger out and will come check the swelling again today. It was done swelling after about 2 hours. Lower cheek, down back of leg to just above the back of knee. Hurts to walk this morning. I used ice and a baking soda pack right after and am still using the benedryl.

Bits...$2 hooker...lol....you are hilarious but I bet I'd have done the same thing.

KV, glad it's not just me claiming to be bothered by stalker wasps. People think I'm nuts.

Herblady, thanks for the tip. I didn't have any but will for the next sting. Does it work on all insect bites?
