Xray shows soft tissue swelling in hands and feet?

My new Rheumy didn't really elaborate what that meant but does that have anything to do w/ RA? It showed no joint erosion just the soft tissue swelling. My hands were hurting and swollen on the outside like crazy lately and he gave me Prednisone to get me through for now and now that I've taken my second dose I'm feeling a little better.

Cheers for you not having joint erosion!!! that is worth being celebrated Smile Soft tissue swelling is a usual RA symptom. It means tissues around the bones and joints swollen, like tendons, muscles, etc...
