MDJunction to me

ThereseML"When I first came to MDJ, I was in need of peer support in dealing with issues of my childhood abuse. I was moving away from the painful issues and trying to find an uplifting group of people to help me transition to a thriver in my life. I found that here. I also found a group of peers with Fibromyalgia and found the same uplifting experience there. My computer crashed and it was a while before I found my way back, this time with issues related to Parkinson's Disease. I had tried a few other support sites before reminding myself of MDJ. On those, I never got a reply. I finally found my way back here and again found very supportive, caring and inspiring people who made me feel like I was 'back home'. Indeed I am." (ThereseML)

Good Morning,

Happy Easter to all. May this day be filled with lots of love, loads of candy, and blessings from above.

I just got back (6am) from dropping off 2 Easter baskets on Cassie's back porch. Rode the golfcart down and did the deed.

When the kids, Hannah-7 and Kayden-4 wake up they will run to the door to see what the Easter Bunny brought them. LOL! So sweet.

I did the same thing for their dad and my other 2 children till they were old enough to know better. Their little faces were always filled with such awe as they sighted the Easter Baskets waiting for them. Then stood there, for a few minutes, looking around for the Easter Bunny. Good to still carry on the tradition.

I wanted so much to attend a Sun Rise Service this morning. Couldn't. Sigh...But I did get to see the sunrise.

Hugs

Happy Easter I have started giving the kids their basket on Palm Sunday. Was never a tradition for me. The schools here gives vacation starting the Monday after it, they would have a whole week to eat it before school was back in. It was still a surprise for them to search the house to discover where we hid it. The same fuzzy stuffed bunnies went in the basket every year. The bunnies sport name tags of my children so to name the basket's owner. This year filled baskets were left in plain sight. Then we called the boys up and Evan started searching for his..it was so funny. I know he did it to cheer the room it sure worked.

Happy Easter to all friends, old and new.

Easter has always been my favorite holiday because it symbolizes rebirth, renewal, healing, and hope. Since grappling with so many things in life, including a depression that pulls me into dark holes, and coming to terms with RA, Easter takes on a deeper meaning. Today I hope a cure for RA will be found in our lifetime. I also hope I can stay out in the light where such truly wonderful people are.

Much love, healing, and comfort to all.

Hubby and I are enjoying the day inside, but with windows open so we can hear the birds singing in the yard. For Easter, I got a soft egg on my elbow. ugh.

When I dropped the easter baskets off at Cassie's I did so on the back porch. I didn't realize they put the baskets on the front porch. The children kept going to the front porch looking for their basket.

Poor little things kept opening the door to disappointment. Time and time again.

Finally, Hannah looked out the back window and spied something sitting on the back porch. With an ear-splitting scream she and brother ran to the back door. There they found the much sought after easter baskets.

Cassie said she could hear them screaming, "OH MY GOODNESS!" over and over. LOL!

If I had known, I would have sat them where they usually go, but I think this worked out even better because of the suprise factor. Can you, for just a moment, remember how you felt, as a kid getting these kind of suprises? Weren't they wonderful?

I do love The Easter Bunny and baskets full of goodies, but I love the day for what I believe it to be...rememberence of my Saviour who rose from the dead and made a way for me.

Thank you Jesus for remembering me. I love you, too.
