I know the feeling of hurtful feet...and being cold...

I used to wear heels to work, until RA...I now have been wearing low comfortable shoes. There are days that I cannot fit into my shoes because of the swelling, so I always have a few pairs of open backed shoes available.

I do have a problem with being cold all the time...and it is so uncomfortable for me. This has gone on for a while, so I am interested in what my Rheumy will tell me at my appt.

Well, until then I will continue to layer up, and also use the open backed shoes.

I hope you get some relief from the swelling.

Walking is always such a gingerly thing when the feet are involved.

Feel better, hope the heated water helps....

Ahh yes..the pain of cold weather. It's returned here too. Supposed to be in the low 30s tonight. I already have my electric throw warming up my side of the bed.. because being cold causes too much pain. It's amazing how fast it hits me, especially since I spent most of my life in the snow belt of upstate NY. I always loved fall and winter so... and now it's just a time that causes me excruciating pain.

Gail, stay warm. Wear socks to bed!!

Cella... being cold all the time, you're not anemic are you?

I am always cold...brrrr...it doesnt matter the season..

I am the one with the layers year round...it seems to be getting worse...so I am going to discuss it with my Rheumy....I wore thermal socks even before the weather got colder....sweaters every day in the summer...

I recently started wearing double socks..lol...I usually wear pantyhose and wear socks over the hose...then I layer up with usually a shirt, sweater, and then blazer....

My hands are always cold, very uncomfortable..

My hubby got into my car and noticed that I had been driving around with the temperature on 80...he became very concerned...so, I really have to address this issue with the doctor....

I was anemic a while ago, ..not sure if I still am, I will have to check my blood work. I do have Raynauds, so I guess that could factor into this.

I hope my doctor can resolve this for me, its a very uncomfortable condition.

My gosh Cella... you're dressed up like the little brother Randy in "A Christmas Story"! Do your arms fly back up when they push them down due to the bulky layers?! Tongue

All kidding aside, you definitely need to get checked. It's not normal to be that cold all the time. No systemic infection ( other than the RA) going on that has you running a low grade fever causing the chills? Tummy is ok?? ( my diverticulitis sister..)Sick

Please get a thorough work up done, maybe they can pinpoint it and relieve some of your suffering.

I found some really cute socks at Walgreens. I am sure you can get them anywhere. Any who-they have individual sections for each toe. YOu may want to check them out. They come in really fun colors and styles.
