Now that makes me mad. I know an older lady who had back surgery and occasionally has to have MRI's done and if they arrange pillows for her, she if fine. Lots of time they do not bother. At those times she is in terrible pain for days.

I don't wish for anyone to have a flare but when they leave people like that or don't do special things to make them more comfortable.... well, i can't help but think that if THEY had a flare, they'd be more considerate.

Thank goodness for the good and caring medical people out there.

Thats horrible. When I went to get my jaw MRIs done I had to put some strange thing in my mouth to hold it open in whichever direction they wanted to check, and the hour MRI turned into 2.5 cause I had to re-do so many scans. They actually lectured me because I couldn't keep my mouth open for 2min without trying to swallow!

The nerve these technicians have with people is appalling. Its not like were going in to tan or something. We are hurting and trying to figure out why, so show some respect man! Sorry you had to go through that, I had arm x-rays with a dislocated shoulder so I completely empathize for you Sad

Hope you feel better tomorrow.

Alicia

I have a tough time with my jaws even getting cleanings done. They have to stop alot.

Lisa, I can't even offer any good advice for getting tests done while not feeling well. When my flares and fatigue are bad, even blood draws wipe me out and make the whole flare worse for days and kickstarts a migraine. The absolute worst test though, I think, is bladder scan, during a bladder infection or urine retention and you have to drink and hold all the water first. Sheer pain. I've never understood why they can't come up with painless testing for sick people. Hope you're feeling better from it by now.

One last memory, broken kneecap, knee and whole leg swelled like a balloon, 17 yrs old, and the xray tech told me to get on the xray table from the bed I was wheeled in on, offering zero help. I thought my mom was gonna rip his head off!

Thats good that your feeling better. I hate the way most dr offices treat people and I think thats why I always freeze up when I am around them for tests. That Urine test example is just awful. I just went through that whole fiasco recently too and the drs advice was I needed to do this so we can get me better. Hurting more to get better what a concept huh?

Anyways hope your results come out in the positive and your day was much better than yesterday.
