Zofran is my go-to for post MTX injections. As long as I don't forget to take it, I have very little nausea anymore.

I am one of the 25% or so who NEVER have a positive RF factor. My rheumy says I may convert some day, but for now, I am sero-negative and always have been. This caused a lot of refusals to treat from various doctors, but finally got a rheumatologist who would. I wouldn't worry about it if I were you.

As far as the self-injection thing goes, it's a LOT different giving yo...

Rheumy told me yesterday that I will most likely never be pain free again. I gained weight, loosing my hair, tired all the time! I hate this!!...

I had an MRI on my lower leg, below the knee. They just wanted to see the cyst on my ankle. It took 40 minutes.

Mikkey mentioned the dye. As I was about done with the MRI the technician can in and requested I have dye. She said the reading for DX would be clearer. I did ask if the order was written to include dye, no it was not. I didn't know if the insurance Co would pay for something not on the order. Just FYI

Hi OVlunchlady Welcome to the RA support group, crumby prerequisite :P

I don't know what Your issues are, so I will go over the vitamins I take
and feel are important to my health.
Iron, Vitamin D, Vitamin B12, Calcium these have tests
I also take Folic Acid, Vitamin C,
I have asked my Dr to take levels on my vitamins. She was happy to. I
would not have like it if a Dr would say no to these being tested. My
vitamin levels are just as important as medication levels.
I also understa...

PamK, I came up sero-negative for many years as well, however after I finally got in to see my rheumatologist she said if it walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, it's a duck .

A good rheumy will not just base whether or not they feel you have RA on your blood tests, they'll look at your presenting symptoms. Morning stiffness that lasts for hours, pain, swelling, redness of joints, symmetry (which isn't always the case with me), joints involved, fatigue, low grade fevers, flu-like ...

Thank you, Bits! You are always so encouraging and positive despite everything that is going on in your life. I too wonder if Enbrel is worth another shot, perhaps without the Methotrexate this time. I guess all I can do is wait and follow my doctors suggestions for now. I'm still hopeful that I will find the righ combo. It does get frustrating, though. I hate it when I think of what I'm missing because of it and the pain it causes. I hope you find a combination that works for you again. I will ...

Hi, I started taking leflunomide about 5 months ago and I started noticing right away that my skin is having some kind of reaction to it. It started on my chin mostly, but now I have some bumps on my hands, neck, between my breasts and on my upper back. I haven't had any skin problems since I was in my teens and these don't seem at all like blemishes. Has anyone else had these problems while taking leflunomide and how much should I be concerned about this? I see my RA doctor on Thursday and...

You might want to ask your doctor if a drug like Aranesp, which can increase your red blood cells, could be helpful. Or also giving you iron infusions? Feraheme can help anemia uf you have low iron. Worth checking anyway. Im having my second Actemra tx this Friday- Im having a terrible time with sinus pressure from it but I can handle that if it helps the pain....
