My Great Grandaughter has Rett Syndrom. She was thought to have Autism until she was about 6 or 7, then through all of the testing, different Dr.s and on and on, She was diagnosed with Retts. She is 17 years old and has grown into quite the young lady, although she has never spoken a word....She has such dietary problem, it is pathetic. Texture, texture, texture. She is now in a wheelchair for most of the time and she has many seizures, every hour. We don't know how much longer we will have her around but I know that she is loved and she is aware of the love. My Grandaughter and her husband have been a pillar of strength through this and I only wish that they could have a moment of peace. Thanks |
