Hi,Smile Been to my new pain management doctor today. Feel like i was listened to and he actually understood me.

I am currently taking, Gabapentin, Co codomal, and Diclofenic.

Now come home with Tramadol to take 4 times a day and Carbamazepine to take at night time to help me sleep.

Also going in nxt wed for a Biers block... Then dec for a Amantadine Infusion..

I am happy with this but lost, has anyone else had this treatment and new meds? And how did it work for you?

Clair.. I've had the blocks and it helped some with the pain. But they were ganglion blocks. I'd get it and go straight to PT and ended up getting movement back in my arm and hand as well. i took the tramadol til I got a reaction from it. It made me itch! I also take the gabapentin and the dicloflenic and several others.

It helps maintain my pain. They call them combo's! It may take some time before your on the right combo to get the most relief.

I have also had blocks. But, I got no relief from them. However, I do take Tramadol 4 times a day as part of my pain relief regimen. It does help take the edge off of my pain. Another thing you might ask about is Ultram ER. It's tramadol in a time released version which keeps the level of the drug in your system even. That way, you don't get the peaks and valleys in your relief. It's a bit expensive; but, for me it is worth it.

Hi, thanks for your replies,

I went to the hospital yesterday and had a Steriod biers block. A bit different to to Guienethadine blocks i had at the other hospital. I was taken to the operating theatre and was given a sedative. After the block in recovery, i was given morphine as i was in so much pain.

I feel sick, weak and my arm and hand is burning like fire. Im in more pain now than before. I have been unable to do anything as i feel so weak. Has anyone else had this block and experianced this effect? is this normal?
