Nerve Blocks

I'm scheduled for my 3rd lumbar nerve block soon. The first two have not worked, but have only made my condition worse.

The RSD was in my foot/ankle/lower leg and after the 1st nerve block moved into my knee and low back. Plus it was very painful. I had pain in my low back for days after as well.

The second nerve block wasn't as painful to have, but it has made my back pain worse than ever.

What do you think? Are the nerve blocks triggered my RSD to spread? or could it be something else?

I was just diagnosed with fibromyalgia too, so maybe that's it??

Why do you think they made you hurt worse?

Well for one ... especially after the blocks, I hurt at the site of the block so bad...... then after the blocks..I my hand and arm would hurt more....... I still to this day have great problems in my cervical vert. where I got my first block, I think they damaged my neck, I have a lot of pain and that causes me a ton of headaches.... yes I think the blocks have done me more damage than good..... I would not recommend anyone have them with out having a second oppinion on how many and where ....... Then I still would have to tell someone to trust there heart... about having it done....... THis is just my experience with blocks.... I am only saying what happened to me.......

Yikes! that's ALOT!!!! and I was worried about 3!!!

Did you go under anesthesia everytime you had a block?

And I still have problems with my neck from those blocks..... I would not recommend them to anyone.....
