MGJ, I am going to download links to two papers as well as abstracts of the , one on prolotherapy, the other on injections as causes of further pain in RSD/CRPS. Both will be in the research area right now called Active Glia. Don't know how much help the papers will be but they are from the RSDSA.org research papers so...

Hi Mara,

I sent you a message, too, but also just wanted to say that I would also be concerned about introducing many injections into your CRPS area. Did you ask your doctor about that? What did he say? Be sure and ask. I'm sorry that I don't know any more. Good luck with it if you do it and if you do, please come back and let us know if it helped you, OK?

Hi Craig,

I am glad to see you on this site and not in the hospital with all the problems you had. I have not been on much because of the pain but I am so excited to hear how this new treatment they are going to try on you. PLEASE keep us in touch on how it goes and what you have to do. Just the thought of something that might work on this pain and have a life again sounds so wonderful!!! I will be praying for you that it works. Just the thought of having hope again sounds wonderful!!

Many gentle hugs, Cindy

Craig: I did 2 interviews with Dr Ross Hauser who does Prolotherapy. He has also written a book called Prolo Your Pain Away. During the show, several patients called in (not all his patients)and they had a lot of good things to say about it. Also, a few negative. So, as with everything some people it helps, some not.

If you want to listen to it, I can look for the date that one was done. It was last year or maybe even 2010. All my radio shows are archived and can be listened to or downloaded any time by going to the radio page.

I'm looking forward to hearing about your experience Smile

I'm an Advocate

HI.... YOU know me, I am always glad to listen....... I have done a lot of research here on line trying to get all the info I can.... I have also talked to all the doctors I know and they have given my a lot of good advice....

And as far as needle sticks, I am not going to worry myself about that at this point in my time with RSD...... I already have it "Total Body", so I have nothing to lose by trying something new....or old ....for that matter...

I am interested in any treatment that I have not already done....... But I still have to ask, where does a doctor start with a patient like me...where I hurt everywhere....

Craig

Hi webby0506,

That's very interesting! So, you got prolotherapy injections? Where is your RSD? How long have you had it? Have you had the injections before? I'm so glad to hear that you've been feeling better and better after the treatments and I hope it continues! Are you planning on getting any more?

Thanks for any information you can give us. We're always hoping to learn something new that might benefit us or someone else. Glad you came to the group, too. This is a really good group of supportive people and I hope you'll like it.

Thanks again!
