Hi Craig, Good to see you here again. I've heard of both and looked into both but neither is covered by my insurance. The prolotherapy if it works for you will take many treatments from what the doctors office I talked to told me. Some doctors that have started doing this therapy are adding all sorts of extra meds to the "juice" they shoot in you so you have to do your homework and make sure the doc you go to is using the standard stuff instead of some odd cocktail they've come up with. The Prp therapy is working on some people but it is very expensive (not covered on many insurances) and one of my docs said that you can't be on any pain meds a few days or week ? before the treatment and so many days after the treatment. My pain is too much so I don't want to live if I can't have the edge taken off. Maybe they do it differently where you would be going, I only share the info I learned. As I understood it, the stuff doesn't work well if you take pain meds for some reason. I hope that helps a little. You could try getting hypnosis to deal with the pain if you had to stop all your pain meds. Some people swear by hypnosis. I hope and pray for you my friend.
