MDJunction to me

HiddenButterfly"All I can say is that this has been the best place ever. It has been six to seven months since I joined, and I have learned so much. I now believe in myself and accept myself on a completely different level. The people on MDJunction has been so supportive and accepting that I have been able to adopt it into my personal life. That has reduced a lot of stress in my life. Thanks to all." (HiddenButterfly)

I had some major side effects to this med as well. I had constant tingling in my fingers and feet, they felt so weird. I was also totally out of it, I don't remember much of the time I was on it. In addition, things felt...weird. I was driving and was once convinced that my arms were no longer attached to my body. Other very strange things like that. I've talked to several others who took it and all agree that it has really bizarre side effects! We jokingly call it "Dope-amax"

Craig,

I'm sorry I didn't see this sooner. I had my first Botox injections at Dr. Shwartzman's office back in March and have gone from daily migraines to 0. My occipital area had been hit during my original injury and this is the first time in 10 years that I have not had migraines everyday. I am also on Ketamine and Topamax tho honestly, I don't think Topamax has much at all to do withnit, Ketamine might.

I did however tell my husband just last night that Ibfeel like the Botox might be wearing off as I'm starting to feel sensitivity to touch in the occipital area again and starting to get some left eye vision disturbances and light headaches. Fortunately I see my doctor Friday so hopefully we can set up another round of Botox very soon. It usually does last approximately 6 months.

Message me if you have any questions.

Dawn

When my gabapentin stopped working they first gave me topamax. I totally controlled the burning but i had so many other side effects. i felt like i was always walking around in a fog, i had what i can only call electric itching, at first i thought the CRPS was spreading but it was the topamax.

Remember everyone is going to respond differently to medications

I wish someone would wake me up from this nightmare.

I just got prescribed Topamax for RSD pain because the Neurontin is causing me to gain too much weight and I'm having break through pain on the max dose of Neurontin. I've read through this entire thread and I'm really scared about the whole "dopa-max" issue. I'm fortunate enough to still be working despite the RSD (right hand), I'm a database administrator and really need to be sharp when I'm doing my job. Just how hard is it to concentrate while on this drug?
