I wanted to post this for anyone that was interested in possibly attending.. Robin  Hello everyone! Keith here from American RSDHope! I am enclosing the details for the get-together in Palm Harbor, FL for RSD/CRPS patients. You might want to save this email on your computer and/or print it out. Also, feel free to pass it on to other RSD/CRPS patients and loved ones that you know in your area as well as any physicians that might have RSD/CRPS patients. WHEN - SATURDAY APRIL 12TH at 1 PM WHERE - PALM HARBOR, FL. - 3850 Tampa Road, Suite 102. (See map-link below) It is on the SW corner of Tampa Road/McMullin Booth WHAT - Casual get-together for RSD/CRPS patients and their loved ones. We will share a a little food, a little wisdom, a little levity, and a little of ourselves with each other. WHO - There will be people from up around New Port Richey, from the Tampa area, and from Orlando; and these three areas have each expressed interest in forming their own local support group! There may even be a few from over in West Palm Beach coming! This initial gathering will lay the groundwork for some very exciting times ahead I think for this area of Florida, which we will discuss in more detail. HOW - So walk, roll, stroll, drive, carpool, bus, hike, whatever it takes to get there; especially if you haven't been around other RSD/CRPS patients and/or loved ones before. It can be a whole lot of fun and very uplifting! This isn't a pity-party, this is about getting together to see how we can help each other. We are working on getting a member or two of the press there to try and jump-start some publicity for the formation of groups. So if you own an RSD Awareness shirt, say for instance one you have gotten from our website (or one you happen to get between now and the meeting) please feel free to wear it, it will look great in the pictures! We will also be taking some pictures ourselves for the website for those who don't mind having their picture taken. So, what can you do to help make it a success? 1) Come to the gathering! 2) Bring your loved ones. 3) Let other patients know about it and encourage them to attend. 4) Toss a lawn chair in the car if you can, just in case we have a bigger turnout than we expect or in case you need to have a chair to lie down on for those who might have difficulty sitting for a couple of hours. 5) Maybe bring a little fruit or a few cookies. Be creative! 6) If you live very close to the Palm Harbor area and know this location, if you could make a couple of signs that we could post the day of the event to help your fellow patients find the venue that would be great. Let me know and we can coordinate. American RSDHope will be shipping down some brochures for the meeting that you can take hom and share with your family. If you are planning on coming, please send me an email and let me know how many will be in your party. If you end up adding someone at the last minute that is ok, we are flexible. We just are trying to get an approximate count so we know how much food to get. There is a big difference between 20 and 60. The sooner we know the easier it will be for those who are helping to coordinate this on the ground. If you aren't sure if you can come right now, please let me know before April 4th at the very latest. I will not be able to be reached after that date as I will be in transit. If you share this with other patients or with your Doctor please have them send me an email and let me know that they are coming. I am probably going to be moving down to the area in a couple of months and originally this was why I was coming down this particular week. I mentioned it to a couple of friends who I hadn't seen and wanted to get together with and then it just sort of mushroomed!
