Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy Support Group

RSD has taken everything from me now its slowing killing me. I wish I can tell everybody I take all these different pills or treatments but now you meet a person who has done everything and I am highly highly allergic to all pain pills,patches pumps. The road has been very long and hard especially you are doing it by yourself. I have lost 60 pounds in two months. I kept coming to my doctors that I have a stomach ache and the hungry pain is gone. When weight stating dropping off everybody was ordering all these test and it all came back normal. I been put in hospital twice. The last stay was so wrong and I realized then my family would not speak up on my behalf. I will never trust again. Changed all my doctors,they desserted me when I needed them. Looking for a person that will be in charge of my medical. I'll write later. God bless us all.

Welcome to the group, 2stoppain2. I understand what you are going through. I am allergic to a lot of meds and what I am not sensitive to, doesn't work so... I have stopped taking most all meds for the RSD/CRPS though not for the systemic affects of it. Many years ago I had the same problem with my docs; had to fire them all and start again, I was lucky enough the second time to find a primary who believed me and was willing to learn about this monster disease. He has helped me with recurring problems with other docs and works well with the docs I finally find (until they also run out of ideas.) It really is a struggle.

I have found this groups to be a great support, open to my rants, my pains and losses, able to walk with me through deep valleys and climb with me the steep hills. I hope you find friends here and find the support you need.

I know there is a medication out there called Megace and its to increase the appatite and help with nasea and pain. I can't understand why they aren't concerned about so much of the weight loss! I hope it would help you and you aren't allergic to it. It is very heartbreaking that you have to do this alone- It can be very difficult to get to Dr. appointments when the pain is so intollerable. I can say one thing for sure-no one will ever turn there backs on you in this forum! We all can identify with how you feel! Just remember your not alone!
