Hello all... I am looking for any insight, suggestions, anything that could help me with this appointment. I have RSD in my hip, first episode since I went into remission at 13 (I am now 27). I am really nervous about this appointment because I dont know what to expect. I am currently taking Motrin 800, Pamelor 25 mg, Norco 7.5, and they want to start me on Tegretol 200mg 3x/day for pain... NONE of this is helping Im also on zoloft 100mg for depression. I am also nursing (we are in the process of weaning) so some meds are out of the question right now for another month or so, and I have no insurance, so some meds are out of the question indefinitely due to cost. I am not sure how many appts I will be able to afford at the clinic so they really need to count when I can go. I have a hard time being taken seriously right now because of the weaning and not wanting to take meds that stay in my system for long periods of time. I have a feeling from talking to them on the phone that they are going to try to push a nerve block. Does anyone know... is a nerve block like a spinal block or epidural??? Because if so I am not sure that this is a procedure I want.... especially not in a Dr office setting... when I have had an spinal block and epidural in the past it has caused my blood pressure to drop 60/20 SCARY!!!!

Anyway... any insight anyone??? Should I cancel this appt and resched for when Im done nursing in about a month?? I just cant imagine living like this for that much longer with no relief Sad

Anyway... sorry for all these long posts and negativity... Im just scared and in pain and dont know where else to turn....

if anyone would like to chat I would love to hear your stories and experiences. my yahoo screen name is niki_beth and AOL is littlbit1002

Thanks!! (((hugs))) to all!!
