MDJunction to me

nvrsubtle"Not having any local Bipolar support groups where I live, MDJuntion has given me a place in which people understand what I am going through and has given me a new outlook on life with support that is real and good. Without
the support that I receive from MDJunction, I would be wandering through
life with no one who understands me. I owe so much to MDJunction for giving
me a life line to help get me through the toughest times.

As some of you may know I plan to give it my best try to help us all one day. I plan to do some heavy research, especially after I have received a funded position. Until then, I research and think about what experiments/or areas to focus in on. I was wondering if you could all list or describe meds or therapies that you found helpful throughout your battle with RSD. This will help me tremendously in figuring more out about RSD cases other than my own. Please continue to pray for me so that I can carry out this dream and hopefully find something useful for us all!

I really commend you on your dream and hope that it becomes a reality for you. As for me, unfortunately the only thing I have tried that has been successful in helping my RSD pain is medications. I use 3 oral meds and 2 topical creams that my pain doctor prescribes.

Good luck with getting the funding you need and moving forward with your research! Wish I had better ideas for you!

Darlaa,

Physical therapy did help me. Desensitization using cloth helped me. The only med that I could find helpful so far is an anti-depressant called Desipramine.
