Well My Thanksgiving was different this year. We went visiting. Went to my step daughters. It was alittle weird spending some time with hubby's ex. Not bad, just weird!LOL! But had a good time with the grandkids. The food was okay, the dressing was alittle dry. But she really got a taste of what is all involved with the cooking and quickly stepped out of next year's.LOL!

We left there and joined up with My best friend of over twenty years and busted in on her daughter. Who was hosting in her new house. We had a great time. They was so surprised to see us and I could hear screams of Aunt Lisey's here all the way in the door. We really had a great time visiting. And I really did behave myself and skipped dessert altogether. Watched football and talked. All the hugs had me reaching for a few pills but all in all. It was soooo worth it. Made my heart smile sooo!

Morning everyone

Our Thanksgiving was great! We went to our nieces and spent it with husbands side of the family brother and sister, and nieces husbands side of the family. They make a Turkey in the oven and deep fried another outside, lots of deserts, wow.

We were home fairly early that night. I rested the next day and on Saturday we made a Turkey dinner here at home. I went to sleep that night and just woke up a bit ago. The activity while great, knocked me on my butt.

Much to be thankful for.

Warm wishes,

~Twinkle

I had a very nice Thanksgiving with my sister (adopted) her 13 year old son and their dog who all come at most holidays from Topeka, KS visiting from last Wednesday until Saturday. And my local friend who walks my dogs and I share 8-10 meals and movies with a week also joined us. Great friends, good food and good conversations.

I am thankful for our country and community, for family and friends, for food and fellowship, for a roof to protect from the storms. I am so thankful for my friends on this forum who understand my pain and allow my rants, who take me in my worst pain and behaviors from the pain. What a special group you are!

I pray for peace, so that no one should need weapons, for food for all, not just those who can afford it, for healing for all, not just those who have "acceptable" diseases and curable ills. I pray for relief from pain for those who can not be cured (yet). I pray for you; each of you and all of you, that your pain will ease and your sleep deepen, that those whose lives have lost meaning whould find new purpose.

Big Hugs

This was my favorite Thanksgiving yet! Spent it in Kansas with my parents, my three brothers, little sister and their families, and my two sons.. After Thanksgiving day we burried my Aunt Joyce and I was able to spend time with my cousins and remaining aunts.. I was able to get some of my feelings off of my chest (defend my aunts memory and stand up for her...) My sons and I stayed with their Grandparents that Live in Florida for the remainder of our stay ( they own a home in Kansas also).

I am so thankful for my family... For my sons, my brothers and sister, my parents, aunts and those that have passed before us... They are who have laid the foundation for who we are... I am thankful for my parents for instilling a deep sense of family values in me.. Going back home this past week opened my eyes and showed me how beautiful my family truley is..
