We have a new forum that's for just hanging out and sharing stuff that do not fit on the other forums in our rape support group.

please share jokes and stories and ANYTHING you want to. I wish I was a good joker but I ain't.

I do want to share something that helped me a whole lot.

Lets say I have just walked into a room with 6 people that I have never met before. 2 of the people are going to like me. they like the way I dress, talk, act, everything! They are just crazy about me.

2 other people are not going to like me. they don't like my clothes, my hair, the way I talk, walk, maybe they don't even know why they don't like me.

the last 2 people haven't even noticed I entered the room.

Now Ihave to decide how I will spend my time. I could spend my time with the 2 people who like me and have a great time for sure, or I could spend my time trying to get the 2 who don't like me to change their minds, I would probably have to change something or EVERYTHING about myself and that still might not make them like me. It wouldn't be fun, and probably a waste of my time. or I could make the last 2 people notice me. There's a 50/50 chance they might like me.

I think the best choice would be to spend most of my time with the 2 who like me and a little time finding out if the 2 who didn't notice me actually like me or not.

Now this may sound very strange to most of you but I grew up thinking if someone didn't like me then there was something wrong with me. I believed everyone had to like me and I had to like everyone. so, when I was told this story I was sooo relieved.

There is a light at the end of the tunnel -- but it's a train about to run over you.

Bless you,

Ms. Jessie

letting your fingers just go is what I think this place is all about. say anything you want to. Here we don't have to stay on any topic, at least that's my thoughts on it. just a place to chat and share and whatever. If you know any good jokes please share them. I always need a good laugh.

Well, I don't really know many jokes..lol...but I have a TON of "Embarrassing Moment" kinda' stories. Yup, my daughter has such a terrible time dealing with embarrassing moments, I would tell her about my 'moments'...lol.

Well, she liked them so much she kept asking for more so I started writing them into short 'Bedtime Stories' for her. Then her friends would also get to share in them when they stayed the night.

Next thing ya' know, they are on high demand from the local kids...lol...there was such a demand for the stories, there was a demand for the short stories to be made into a bigger story and voila! My embarrassing moments became a children's book (in progress).

The books objective is to help kids deal with sibling rivalry and embarrassing moments. It teaches them how to use humor to recover from the bumps in the road of life.

So, perhaps I can just share some of my most "Embarrassing Moments" on here sometime...lol.

Bless you,

Ms. Jessie

I don't do jokes, or stories (mine are much too long), but I do like to write poems and songs. Maybe one day, when I finish the little book I'm writing, I'll attach it and whoever can print and read or whatever.

I think I already shared one poem, but here's the beginning of my book if anyone would like to read it. Give me some input.
