Pulmonary Fibrosis Support Group

I was just recently diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis. I do not know what to expect because you can not really tell by just reading information off the net. I was also told that my pulmonary nodules are increasing in size and this concerns me.

Hi Genie,

I well remember the day Brid, my wife, was diagnosed with PF. Like you I ran to the 'net to find out all about it. But like any disease you only need to know about your own case and not all the other info. Brid had three good years and was very happy and did not suffer at any stage. Shortness of breath, yes, oxygen, yes - and it was a great help to her. In the long run she had an oxygen generator which ran 24/7 and kept her comfortable.

My advice (I am not a doc or a nurse) is to judge what you are able to do and do those things and enjoy life. You may have to adjust this now and again but you can still enjoy life.
