Hello everyone. I am English and am very pleased to find this site. There is very little support/information to be found in England. In November 07 I suffered multiple PE's I have only recently been taken off Warfarin and have been told to take a small dose of aspirin every day. I am very frightened and anxious. I suffer pain in my chest and legs every day. My doc is unsupportive and puts it down to anxiety I know the pain is real. I would like to hear from anyone else who feels/has felt the same. Thanks

I feel pain STILL. Mine happened in October 08. They didn’t originate from my legs; they say it was from my pelvis. I have bouts of pain in my chest on one side (the side with the worst PEs) still today. Usually when I've over done it with some sort of exercise. Don't EVER let a doctor tell YOU how you feel. If you can't get what you need from this doctor...it's time to find a new one…one that listens to you. Be your own advocate!! I learned that the HARD way. Only YOU know your own body and if you are so uncomfortable with being off the meds they should be more helpful. Have they proven that you are healed? Did they do CAT scans again to make sure the clots had gone and that there wasn't scarring? My hematologist had told me that if they are there long enough, it could cause scar tissue that clots like to cling to. Be careful, and God Bless.

Hope you found this helpful.
