You are so right about winter affecting our skin, causing it to dry out and in my case..to the extreme!

You mentioned how it can itch from the dryness, well, I have a piece of advice. I don't have Psoriasis, (a family member does,,and I'll address that problem next time )....My feet and legs get so dry, that I will sometimes scratch so vigorously,,that it causes it to bleed a little, but the bad thing is my feet. I scratch those to the point of turning scarlet Red and actually SWELL so bad I can't wear my shoes! And it doesn't take but 5-6 minutes to get tight, puffy and red and honey, they feel like that are truly ON FIRE!

I don't use over the counter lotions when this happens. Why? Because most of them hav What I do is use VASELINE to put out the fire, and rehydrate, it also makes your skin soft like a baby fawn. You can rub it in GENTLY until it's not greasy anymore. It WORKS!!! And to heal the scratches that bleed...use Neosporin/Pain !

I just joined, I will come back if I may and talk about the horror a family member is having with his

Psoriasis. He needs good sound advice. BBS!

Frenchie welcome to the group and we would love your input! I have never tried vaseline but I will. My feet get so dry that the skin starts to peel and I try to cut it off so it will snag. It peels so bad from dryness that my feet bleed and it is very very painful to walk on. I have tried about every lotion out there and my feet are still very dry after.

It is worth a try not to be in agony!

Believe you me, my friend! Try the vaseline though..at night before you go to bed, lavish your feet with vaseline, don't be stingy, then

put on a pair of socks and sleep in them. This will save you sheets and soften your feet! I won't waste any more money on perfumed lotions and lotions that boast miracles, this is the closest to a miracle you can buy at only pennies a jar!

When I run to the store I am going to grab some and try it. I realized today at I think part of the reason my legs ache so much is I am always walkig on the front of my feet because my heels are in so much pain. Imagine walking on you tippy toes all day enough to make anyones legs hurt! LOL

Thanks
