Hi, welcome to the group. I have to apologize for not getting on here sooner. I must have the notification shut off. I will change that when I am done here.
As for scar fading, I do not think there really is anything that will fade them. I've read that the otc scar fading creams have to be applied right basically right away for them to work. I have so many scars I would need the whole factory amount in order to rid my body of them. LOL, seriously, yes, they are ugly but we just have to come to...

Hi there - I am new to this site as well. I have a recent diagnosis of PN after a few skin biopsies were tested. I have thought I have Morgellons for years - and perhaps I still do - or they are the same thing. These conditions may be closely related I am learning. Anyhow - I have joined that discussion, too, but am really wanting to give and receive support with others, and learn about effective treatments others are doing. feel free to engage any discussion with me too....

Hi Sue, did you find anything in spanish? I know if you do find a page in english, it can be translated for you. I was told the samething as you from the dermatologist that had diagnosed me. I now am doing a 24 hr antihistamine in the a.m. and a generic benadryl in the pm. It has been working for me now for about a month or so. Otherwise, if I don't take those, I know right away because I itch terribly without them.
Take care!...

Hi Vonnie,
My sores/lesions take forever to heal, too. Not all but enough, get infected which really makes it hard to heal. I've told on of my doctors about this and have shown her the fibers. She was interested in it because she'd never seen nor heard of this. I have sores/lesions all over and it makes it so I do not want to expose my skin during the summer. =( I had a real bad day, I'm not sure when but it was awful. I got into a bath, soaked for a while. .It help may a small bit. I was to...

I got this off of this site: http://rarediseases.info.nih.gov/GARD/Disease.aspx?PageID=4 diseaseID=7480

Prurigo nodularis is a skin condition characterized by hard crusty lumps that itch intensely. The exact cause of the condition is unknown. However, it can occur in isolation or as a result of repeated trauma to chronic pruritus (itching). Treatment for the condition can be challenging. [1]

My doctor wanted me to try a stronger antibiotic to see if it'd clear up some of the lesions and itching. At the time I didn't really have much as far as lesions and itch. I am now broken out real bad so tomorrow I plan on calling her to see if she will call in another script for me. Until then, I've been putting small guaze pieces and antibiotic cream on them. It has been drawing out a lot of pus but boy, this makes them itch! Have any of you tried this before? I looked at the guaze after it ha...

I am curious if anyone has problems with your eyes. I mean, I have dry eyes but what I'm referring to here is do any of you have 'stuff' floating around over your eye where you have problems concentrating on things you are looking at. I find lately when I am looking through my hand-held microscope, it is hard to focus on the item I am viewing because of some stuff going across my eye. The 'stuff' looks sorta like the stringy/thread I've been looking at in the 'crusts' of my skin. No, I've not be...

Hi ginan, I'm going to go look up to see what you're talking about. Be right back....see how quick I am? Anyway, yes, I understand. I agree about being warriors. You know, so many of the symptoms are so much the same as fibromyalgia it's unreal. I'm just glad my hubby heard a video I was watching about Morgellons so now he really understands about it and doesn't understand how doctors cannot believe in it when there are fibers. Keep strong!...

I was wondering about your diagnosis. How long have you gone without knowing it was PN? What made you go to the doctor? Did your doctor take a skin sample to diagnose at any time? Ok, I think that is enough questions.
I'll start. B)
I've had skin problems since I was young. I've been diagnosed with dermatitis and eczema so I was pretty surprised when the dermatologist said right away that she knew what it was. My dermatologist did not take a skin sample. I've never had any kind of diagnosis ...

Hi Ede, welcome to the group! I'm sorry to hear your brother has to have this dreaded disease! I've had these basically all over my body. I have been so tired of having to explain to people when they ask what is all over my arms and now the legs. I have many sores/lesions on my back, stomach and butt. I've been reading up on this and there, so far, is no cure. I made another dr appt. to see if she can tell me anything else about this. She just told me I have Prurigo Nodularis and that was that. ...
