Hello, Helena. Prostate adenoma is rarely malignant. It's a very common disorder of the elderly, virtually everybody has it after 65-70  .Don't be too worried, and make sure your father gets frequent check-ups and follows closely his treatment scheme. The nonsurgical approach is rather of management than cure, bear that in mind. Don't know how acupuncture would help (it can't back up the tumour, can it?), but it can't hurt, either. Prostate adenoma can evolve into cancer, so if I were you, I would insist my dad gets surgery. Best of luck, and keep us posted! |
