I've lost my father to prostate cancer. However what I want to write is a message of hope. I wish I had a support group when I was struggling with my dad..... All is lost for him, although his spirit will always be with us but there's hope and improvement for others now. I'm still in touch with his onc and he said a few weeks ago that they're testing a prostate cancer vaccine, anti-PSA, that will supposedly help boosting the immune system and help it recognize antigen cells and distroy them, before they do any damange and transform into cancer. I pray to God this works. It's still in development stage, but it will be out someday. And this is my hope. |
