and 40 radiation treatments. However, I can't get him to try the ED meds given him. He thinks his penis is more or less "dead" as he described it.

Could he be right? Is there a chance the meds could work? I'm not sure how to appraoch him on the subject. I will refrain from sex , too, if it turns out he is right. But I sure would like to help out if I can.

Any comments and suggestions?

Hi, Jeanne. Your guy has been through a lot, hasn't he? You, too, I'll bet. As for his penis being "dead," I'm sure it seems that way to him. But there are (a) ways to awaken it and (b) ways of loving that don't require erections. Give him some time, but don't let him think you're no longer interested. I don't know the specifics of his disease, but I think it may be worth talking to a urologist who specializes in ED issues.
