Hello, I am new to this group, a friend just had the following diagnosis:

psa 430 gleason score 4+5=9 T4NxM1 prostrate cancer

cancer has been determined to also be in bones, bladder, and seminial vesicals. Little or no cancer noticeable in lymph nodes.

He took casodex 50mg for 6 weeks (worked at first, then cancer grew,) so doctor took him off and now he is on lupron injectable chemo. The doctor says there is nothing more we can do. Does anyone know of a trial, or another therapy to try. We are on the East Coast in the DC area. Are there more specific support groups online that we should know about? I am at Fairfax hospital in Virginia, should I be at another hospital with more experience in my specific cancer? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks so much.
