MDJunction to me

neshama48"Having Crohn's Disease for over 26 years, in the first few years, it lonely and isolating.
Though now my disease is in a near perfect remission, my friends and family are sympathetic to me, but I can not talk to them about this disease. When I stumbled across MD Junction, and met others who had the same disease I was not alone in battling the disease. MD Junction is like a second family, without the judgement or guilt of having Crohn's Disease, but they do give you love and support.

I was, and still am sooo confused about what is going on with me. After I turned thirty I started feeling hopeless, angry, and defeated lasting two weeks every month... come to find out it may be PMDD. My doc gave me a low dose prescription of Prozac. It helps with the extreme ups and downs (during those two-weeks)

But now, I can't achieve orgasm Blush Needless to say I stopped taking the prozac. I don't know what's worse.

I swear, I feel like there is NO light at the end of the tunnel. I can't win.

Anyone else have a similar experience? What do you do?

Love,

Welcome to the group dear. I'm sorry that you had to seek us out, but I hope that we can help you some how.

PMDD is normally a hormonal disorder...it gets worse the week or two before your period and tapers off once the bleeding begins. Some of the girls here have rightly called it a dr. jekyll and mr. hyde type feeling.

I had a similar problem with the zoloft I am on. I cut my dosage down...sometimes I'm glad I did, others I feel nuts. I was pretty in control of things, but after a miscarriage in April, my hormones are all messed up again. Excercise is something else that has really helped me when I can force myself to do it.

Thank you for your feedback Smile

That sounds like what I have. I can't find anything on the internet that says anything any different. The description "Dr Jekyll and Mr. Hyde" is RIGHT ON! I feel bad for my boyfriend. I am the ideal girl for him for two weeks a month, and unpredictable the other two.

I exercise occasionally during the good times. During the bad two weeks I have no drive or motivation to go workout.

When you cut your dosage did your sex drive/orgasm ability come back? (this is the main reason I don't want to get back on it)

Love,

Not really. I mean, there are times when it's there and others when I really just dont want to even be looked at. It's not as bad as before though.
