Hi, i have complex ptsd, in my town there are not ptsd support groups so i decided that i'll start my own.

i think that building positive memories is a way of healing. I am planning on just getting some group of people together so we can talk to each other, vent our emotions, share our experiences and support each other, parallel to that have meetings working the AA program, adapted to ptsd, but also going and doing healthy fun things like meetings on the beach, drum circles, hiking, potlucks... so we can have thing to look forward to.

My question is is there any suggestion? as far as what kind of activities or approach we could have from a professional point of view?

there is a website call healmyptsd.com where this woman claims that ptsd is curable... is it possible to heal completely from complex ptsd?

I think what you are already planning is awesome! Just remember that it takes time to build a group so don't get discouraged if you don't get 50 people right off the bat. Good luck and I'm sure this idea will be a success.

What an awesome idea! Congratulations on taking the steps to creating your own support group. There are many wonderful threads in here and I am sure that they will give you ideas of what direction to go

Do people really think there is a way to cure PTSD? I wish there is or will be. I hate the shaking, fear, running and wanting to hide.
