I will keep this short for now because I am absolutely exhausted.

I was diagnosed with ptsd and anorexia in 2002. I am 11 months recovered from the eating disorder in which I used restriction as a way to numb my feelings. I spent 6 months in the hospital on a feeding tube. It will be one year July 18, 2012 since the date of my admission. I have spent a lot of time in the hospital during the past 3 years and this is the first time that I've kept the weight on. I was 70 lbs and now weigh 100 lbs.

Now that I am recovered (safe), my therapist has started the exposure therapy process and I would like to hear about your experiences with trauma work.

I am hoping to come back and spend more time on this forum so that I can connect with people who understand.

Thanks truly.

hi Hun

Welcome to the group.

There are a lot of really nice and helpful people on this forum.

Time is a little slow on this forum, but people will respond.

I wish I could comment on the Exposure therapy, but I have not had any sort of therapy for my PTSD yet.

I am running on a wish and a prayer.

I am sorry I cannot be more helpful, but I have just been too sick to even attempt to see anyone for my issues.

There are plenty of people on this forum who do have therapy experiences.

hugs, Raoul

I am not a doctor - and my advice is purely from my personal experience and my opinion!!
