I'm an Advocate

Hey guys and gals: I talked to the Office Manager at the doctor's office I work for about placing an ad on the information board for patients to read about MDJ. She told me to write up the ad and she would send it over to the hospital for approval. I talked too with some of the other staff and will be talking to the doctors about MDJ as soon as the hospital approves the ad. The company that owns the hospital runs 127 more and it may be possible to get approval to send it to all of the other hospitals about MDJ. I'm also going to be putting up ads at different businesses in the area to promote MDJ. I'm asking for suggestions on how to word the ad and what to say so that we can get the hospital and the company that owns it to approve the ad. I welcome in and all suggestions. Midget53
Although I work in a medical office as a transcriptionist, I am not a doctor. My advice to you is based on my own experience with PTSD and what I have found out about it by researching it as much as possible. Always remember that if you need a friend to talk to, I'm just a PM away.

Midget53, What a wonderful idea for getting more exposer for MDJ. I think the ad should expalin what MDJ is all about and list some of the many groups that MDJ has and use the phase MDJ all ready uses " People Helpiing People." just a starting point.

Good idea. I just want so much for the hospital to approve the ad being posted in the office and any place else we can put it. Midget53

LOL Midget53 I love your idea and think it may save some money for those who are not getting any help with their MD's!!!

Just think of the all those that will be helped by coming here.

I know I've gotten so much help and support here that I quit going to my pdoc as they were not giving me any advice or support!! Just a blank stare.....But when my time was up they had their hand out for that money!!!!

I so hope you get approved!!!

Being Agor is almost as bad as the last job I had!!!
I really have to work at it 24/7 and don't get paid either.

I agree with making sure that the ad includes that it's "real people helping real people." I would also include that there are support groups for our family members as well. And a bit of real honesty would go far. Sometimes out Tdocs aren't there and are too expensive. This is a place where we can get advice from people with our own feelings/conditions at any time of the day or night. someone is always willing to listen and offer hope and advice. hope this helps
