I'm grateful for your post. I'm not military, and would never compare myself with someone whose experienced death or roadside bombs in their occupation, but, for me, some components of my job were llke putting out constant fires without the right kind of support and no appreciaton. I suffered emotional abuse including exclusion and. what I would define as bullying. For me, it was war. I have flashbacks of bad childhood memories and the job. I know I qualify for this site as I believe you do too.I have found both support and good informaton here. I wish you the best.

HI...Blessed... I am a Viet Nam war vet..... Our two wars were different in area's but, combat is combat.... I have been working with private and VA doctors for my PTSD. It seem the longer I have lived the worse the nightmares and flashbacks have become....

But the Doctors tell me it is because I am retired, and don't have enough thing going on around me to keep my mind from slipping back........

I am not sure what you mean your treatment, but if you PM me... I would be glad to talk to you about my experiences with VA doctors and anything else you might want to discuss......

Thank you for your SERVICE to YOUR Country...... True AMERICANS are Proud of you...

Craig

I feel the same way. My PTSD is really getting me down. It seems like it will never go away. I am new to this group also. i endured abuse for six years, but my family is no real support to me. THey add to the PTSD, they are constantly bombarding me with their problems and feel that I should deal with their problems and refuse to deal with them their selves. Those 6 yrs are a blur and have no recollectioon of that time. How do you learn to deal with it. I am having problems with this. I have isolated myself and dont care what I look like.It seems like a hole I cant get out of. Dont have anyone to turn to. I thought being with like people may helpW00t

I have problems membering, I dont trust people, because my abuser tried to kill me and drug me, so she could get my car and house. I am angry with myself, cause I let this person con me and I didnt recognize it. I have problem of dealing with that void in time. I dont what she drugged me with, but it seems to have left a mark on my mind. Would you be so kind as to tell me what books are out there to help? I dont want to deal with this anymore. I want it all to go away, but what I want isnt feasable. I have to learn to live with it. Thank you for your input

Thank you for your support. Now I know I am not alone and thankful for the reply. I feel better now, that I can talk to someone who understands what I go through.

Smile
