MDJunction to me

aTinaL"To me, Mdjunction comes down to motivation. The support and information I have found here motivated me to take a very proactive stance regarding my illness. This led me to find medication and doctors that are giving me my life back.
More important than even the motivation, though, is the friendship I have found at MDJ. I have made some of the best friends of my entire life right here in this group. Even though most of us have never met, it feels as if we have known each other for years.
If Angels walk among us, and I believe that they do, most of them are here at MDJ.

Hey i would like to start a poem thread. So if you would love to add some, please feel free. i would love to see what other people write. However please dont copy other peoples poems or say their yours on other discussion groups. And all poems posted must be your own.

I will start.

Farewell to the old me

She’s going, going, gone

I’m sick of all the same old shit

Got myself a new attitude

That I bid for and won on Ebay

The dark days are over

Not going to live this new life wondering

Maybe I’ll auction of my old life

Sell it to the highest bidder

Try and hide the scratches

Dents and chipped paint

So the intended buyer does not see

Spouse it up a little

It’s a life well used and abused

That’s for sure

Would you care to place a bid

this is a peom i wrote for my daughter. I had put it in my diary. I did give it to her finally. Maybe it is silly which is why she hasn't said anything to me about it yet. I have never written a poem before.

my baby girl so helpless and small, you put up a fight and proved them all wrong. they said you had died, you said no way, lifes precious breath you held always, they said you wouldn't talk you chatted away, the most beautiful voice filling my days, No walking for her the doctors did say, you ran to thier arms and showed them your way, my baby girl you had a rough start, but you have always been so strong at heart.

As a child you grew stronger still, while mom was ill. I made my mistakes, I wish i could take them back, I hurt you and thats a fact. I'm better now, but still not well, I'm hoping you can tell, I love you more than words can say, more and more each day.

I know you hurt, I know your in pain, I know things will never be the same. You need to pull from the heart so strong pull from the strength you have inside. We have had hard times, this much is true. but it doesn't change my love for you.

You won't believe it, you wont think it's true. your a wonderful daughter and I'm glad to have you.

You never gave up don't give up now.

My meds are:
abilify, trazadone, topomax, savella, flexeral, relafin, dilaudid, phentermine, lipitor, cymbalta, nexium, lasix, vitamin D, potassium, metoprolol, and a mulitvitamin.

Gurlindie, Thank you for starting this thread. We need to keep encouraging those among us with such talent to share of themselves to up build us all. That is exactly what you have done, Please give us more.

Skyrose, It is never silly to give a gift from the heart. Keep writing and sharing with us.

Z I think you and Gurlindie should read each others work, You share some similar feelings in your words. You are both very talented and I am glad that you have shared with us. Please don't stop, If there are any who think the words are to intense they don't have to read them. But many find your words beautiful.

John – I suppose I could it’s just easier for me to keep up with in my diary. I’ll think about it.

Steve – A few things (1) I’m not shy and (2) I know how to write poetry. Perhaps you have not read my things. And HOME – actually has two words HATE & ANGER.

One week goes by

I feel like dying

Second week comes

I'm really trying

Third week passed

My hands grip the edge tight

Fourth week arrives

My grip slips in the fight

Fifth week, than sixth

I want to let go

Seventh is here

I'm feeling so low

Than the eighth week

Than the ninth

I'm just trying to take it

One week at a time

(Not the best but figured I'd try to get back in the game Smile )
