MDJunction to me

saralaurie"In the 3 months I have been with MDJunction I have developed a sense of calmness. I now friends who do not judge me because I have been a mental mess at times. It is such a good feeling to have friends I can tell my deepest thoughts and always get back to me with their support. I have never seen a therapist for long periods of time. Right or wrong, this is the best therapy possible for me. Thanks Roy for getting this up and running and making such a difference in my life. Sara" (saralaurie)

My boyfriend just broke up with me for being too sad, I despise my job, I just moved out of my parents house last month and am moving back in with them next week because I got evicted. I've dropped out of 3 colleges, been hospitalized 5 times. I think its time I got my life back together. I'm ganna listen to my mom: work hard, go back to school, study hard, and learn to live for myself. I've pretty much been in some kind of relationship since I was 13 and old enough to date. I almost got married. Thank goodness I have no kids. And I never learned how to care for myself. He always came first. I need to learn how to be strong and independent. And I need to teach myself how to feel beautiful. So I decided in the secrecy of my basement to try the flirty girl fitness and other dance exercises that are on demand.I did something called cardioke. I'm sweaty from dancing my voice is hoarse from singing and my muscles kinda hurt, but I can't stop smiling.Tongue

Well, I think that was just awful of your boyfriend, but it could be the best thing to happen - now you can learn to take care of and enjoy yourself in ways you never could when you had someone else to worry about all the time!

Cardioke, huh? Sounds like a lot of fun! When i was living with myself, I did a good deal of karaoke, and I still do it with my husband. It's so much fun - and sometimes I dance around a little when I sing, so maybe I'm doing it too!

I love, love, love your attitude! You'll go far with such a positive outlook! If you start feeling down or discouraged sometimes, reread what you wrote here, and you'll perk right up again! Also - very important - post on here about how you're feeling and we'll cheer you up - and on - too!

Crazysquirrel, you have a great positive attitude.. You go girl. I just got out of a relationship who I put the guy before me in every way possible. I am working on thinking positive, but I just took two steps back, but I'm not giving up!! Btw the serenity prayer is my fav. To help me to recover from codependency, I have a charm that I wear around my neck and whenever I feel like I'm losing my way, I look at it and send the prayer up to God.

Glad to meet you!!!
