Hi Guys, My name is Stephen and I am 30 years old and have been under treatment for Polycythemia since I was 23. I live in Brisbane, Australia. I'm not sure what to say in these things but I have had 7 years of experience with living with Polycythemia and 6.5 years of those I have been on Hydrea. It's getting into the long term with me now. Sometimes it frustrates me... but what can you do? Just grin and get on with it. I have experienced many of the complications with the condition and with the medication so I am hopeing that my experience will be able to help others who are new to this. To me there is not enough information available and what there is is sketchy. My hope for these forums is to possibly meet people like me who have been dealing with this condition from an early age, as most of the people who get this condition are in the 50+ category.
