 I have recently been diagnosed with polycythemia vera. My Dr put me on 500 mg hydroxurea daily which didn't lower my blood counts by much. He has since doubled the dose to 1000 mg daily. I suffer daily (24/7) from headaches. My Dr assures me that once the blood levels become normal my headaches will go away. Has anyone else had the same problem?
