My period is really really heavy. I usually can sleep through the night without worring about it but I had to wake up three times last night and everytime I already had blood all over my pants. I can hardly go more than an hour without having to change my tampon (and they are supers). This is freaking me out! I am not used to a heavy cycle. I also have a lot of cloting. I don't want to go to my classes today because I am worried I will have to keep getting up every 40 min to change my tampon. Any suggestions?

well i would just stay home for a couple of days until it mellows out. get a lot of rest and drink a lot of water because it usually helps.

That happened to my dd Becca soon after she started taking Metformin. It was her second cycle after starting it, and she freaked! She normally didn't even have a period, and then to be changing a tampon and pad every hour at school was a bit overwhelming...

I took her to the ER and they told me she was hemorrhaging. They gave her estrogen and it slowed down quite a bit, then stopped the next day.

It was extremely scary for her! But it hasn't happened since. Now she gets normal periods.

Was that the first time that happened?

Bev
