Hi im new to this group and hoping to get some feedback from others. Ive been unwell for quite a long time and found to be low in cortisol- adrenal insuficient after becoming very ill.

Anyways to sum it up along side this ive always had a tendancy for reactive hypoglycemia dropping very low. Ive also got cystic ovaries and did always have a lh:fsh ratio consistant with pcos.my sister also has this.

Now i did manage to have 2 children even though i was diagnosed with pcos.

However this is the strange thing since my son was born 1 year ago ive had regular periods and my lh,fsh is good.

However ive been keeping an eye on my bloodsugars at home and also had an indepth glucose tollerance test.

At home this is whats happening:

Fasting is never above 4.5mmol

1 hour postprandial is always between 7-9mmol(at this point i get REALLY drowsey, cant concentrate, sleepy, blurred vision, heavy head)

2 hour postprandial is always between 6-8mmol

Then i keep falling to im hypoglycemic again.

I never eat high gi foods and always eat high protein with a meal.when i eat high gi like cornflakes my bloodsugar goes a lot higher.

My extended glucose tollerance test

Blood taken every 30 minutes

Glucose(range 4-6mmol or 72-108)

4.3(fasting)

5.4

10(1hr)

8.9

7.3(2hr)

7.2

5.5

Insulin(range 3-17mu/l)

2.2(fasting)

14.9

37.2(1hr)

30.8

30.6(2hr)

(2 1/2hr not taken)

24.2(3hr)

C peptide(260-630pmol)

323(fasting)

2088(1hr)

2109(2hr)

2177(3hr)

Ive had tests to rule out insulinoma.

Now can anyone understand this,am i insulin resistant, would these results make insulin resistant.

Thankyou
