There are no impossibles.

As far as your menstruals go, it sounds like you may also be dealing with endometriosis. This can only be picked up through a laparoscopy. You can opt for thermoplasty if the need is there. Its when they take a cauterizing pen and burn problems away such as endometriosis, scar tissue, cysts, and even hormonal buildup in your ovaries. Look into this option.

Email me at pcosinct@yahoo.com if you would like to have a PCOS Kit I have created which has a load of information.

I'm new to this group but have a lot of family with pcos. My mom didn't know she had it until her hysterectomy but was able to have two kids without any problem. It just took a little more trying for her and my doctor has told me it should be no problem. I do know though that it depends on the person. A cousin had it and endometriosis and was unable but I still know many women who were able to.

It also has to be put in perspective a few points.

A) When your mom had to deal with the fertility aspect, it was back when we had much less 'poisons' in our food, environment and even in our bodies. Our world has become so consumed by chemicals that it is affecting our systems more and more

Each woman with PCOS has different issues to deal with or over come. Each woman with PCOS has different degress of suffering.

Hi all,

Ive not posted anything on this group yet but this jumped out at me.

I have PCOS & Endometriosis, i had all the treatments you can think of. From tablets to laser, to a false menopause. Unfortunately none of these helped me, however i had the Mirena Coil fitted a couple of years ago & it has worked Im not saying it would work for everyone but you never know, its worth asking your doctors about. Im in England so it might not be called the same thing in the US but its worth researching.

Oh & ButterflyPrincess,

There are many women in this world with either PCOS, Endometriosis or both who have had kids. If i'm not mistaken Victoria Beckham would be one of them. Anything is possible, you just have to try & remain positive. Me & my fella are going to start trying in the new year, it does worry me but extra worry & stress can count towards you not getting pregnant. The best way i can think of is just to take every day at a time & have fun! hee hee

{{{gentle hugs}}} Emma

Hi

I just gave birth 7 weeks ago to a beautiful little girl- 18 months after being officially diagnosed with PCOS. I went 7 months without a period at times. We tried to get pregnant for almost 2 years. The first step to getting pregnant with PCOS is to regulate your periods. The only way I was able to get my periods regulated was to diet and lose weight. I lost 40 pounds on the south beach diet, but after losing like 5-10 pounds, I started noticing my period becoming more regular. I read online that even losing 5% of your body weight will help. It still took me fertilty drugs and then litterally to stop trying to get pregnant, but it happened and that's what counts. Both my mother and I were diagnosed with PCOS before concieving, so it's definitely possible. But just don't let getting pregnant take the fun out of having sex.
