Hi,

I don't know if anyone is still in this group but I am hoping!!! I was just diagnosed with Pityriasis Rosea and at first thought, ok, no biggie. But now only one full week in to it I am miserable!!!! Anyone find anything that speeds up the process of it leaving your skin!? Any help for mild itching from it? How bad was yours? Mine is hideous!

Thanks,

Shopgirl

My "herald patch" or what i like to call my start to all things evil appeared along time ago, it was just recently that it started to spread accross my shoulders and down my stomach. It always got worse and more noticable with my body temperature rising. All the cases I've read about are so different, no wonder nobody has an answer. I came across some herbal medicines to try. Yesterday I picked up some Black Walnut-Wormwood Glycerite Compound....I started with my first cup of tea last night, have had 3 today and I'm already noticing that they are fading. I also made a mask out of Aveeno Oatmeal bath treatment and smeered it all over me. Don't leave it on to long it get's itchy....Anyway just some suggestions, oh ya and baby oil after a warm (not hot) shower. I'll post if I find anything else.

Good Luck!

Ok, that's not good. I thought it only lasts 6 weeks tops! Thank you for writing back though. My relaxing baths have become a nightmare as it is now too hot and they seem to get worse if I take a hot bath. I am on day 16 and they have faded a little but they are more itchy. I noticed if I dab alcohol on them they are less itchy. Did you get diagnosed? Was it by a dermatologist? Thank you for the recommendations and good luck to you too!

I did the research on my own, I've given up on doctors. I'd watch the alcohol and maybe try zinc ozide for the itch....because our little friends are dry to start with it's better to keep them moist...I've found. Look into the herbal supplement, my hubbie couldn't believe the difference since just yesterday. TTYS
