MDJunction to me

peasha"This has been one of the most supportive places I have ever been. I found MDJ by mistaking looking for drs to help me with my many health issues and since that day over a year ago I have found a tight nit little family that keeps me going when the times are tough and offers me a place of retreat to share my successes and failures with others. I get to see the humor and seriousness of what I experience as well as the resources to learn about my health conditions. Thanks MDJ" (peasha)

Well to make a long story short in August of 2011 my periods just stopped and i saw my ob/gyn and they found a mass on my right ovary and i had a hysterectomy done. Two weeks later i had breast milk and other symptoms and had a MRI done which showed a large pit tumor. So here I am three weeks from surgery and a blood test which shows I am producing no Cortisol hormone and a slightly elevated prolactin level (not high enough for them to think treatment with medication will help) Just wondering if anyone else has had the no cortisol thing? I am wondering if removing this tumor or having this hormone is going to help my symptoms. My mood swings are bad and I am so tired a lot of time i feel like I have been drugged. My blood pressure is running very low for me at around 90/60. I am just hoping this surgery is going to make me feel better. I have been trying to tell the doctors for two years something was wrong and they just ignored me or told me it was my age. I am 41 now. Any help would be appreciated. My endo is not responding to me questions and has not been much help. But thankfully I have a great neurosurgeon. Oh and I have headaches that feel like my head is burning just at my hair line on my forehead???

Thank you

Hi there,

wow! you have had a lot in a short period of time. Hopefully you will be feeling a lot better soon. When is your surgery?

I had many of your same symptoms and I did great with the surgery and the recovery and hopefully soon you will be done with all of this and doing all of things you love once again. I am glad you have a great neurosurgeon, that makes a huge difference!

keep us posted and keep asking questions. We care.
