hi,i had a 22mm pituitary tumor removed two years ago.my doctors havent gave me any meds at all,my nero-surgen really got mad when he found out i was given pain meds when i left the hospital after my crainotomy.my sugery was almost 8 hours long.my question is on growth hormone,when i had the test his nurse called me and told me it was low.it lower than when i had my tumor.my growth hormone was 1.15 & igf-1 140. now my growth hormone is 0.12 & igf-1 131.what is the normal range for a 35yr old woman?i have no energy-hair is dry and splitting to roots-all my fat is in stomach -look 6mnts preg-having heart palps-dizzy had 2 eegs was fine.the rest of bloodwork on the low normal side.any ideas on whats going on ?

I wish I could help. Honestly, MDs tend not to want to prescribe things to help w/ horomones unless they're off the charts. My advise is, go to a naturopathic DR and have them recommend some natural supplements. I am taking Thyrophin, a natural thyroid supplement, and it seems to be helping with the weight gain, so maybe there's something out there that will help you, too. Good Luck!
