Hi all. I was just diagnosed with a 2.8 cm pituitary tumor. I was scheduled for surgery however after all the tests my neurosurgeon wants to hold off, try dostinex (cabergoline) to see if it will shrink. The only problem is my tumor is likely not a prolactinoma. I do feel lightheaded and tired while on the meds. At the end of the day I just want to crash. Not sure what would be best, medications or surgery. Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Somba

Hi Sombra,

Medication is usually tried first, to shrink a functioning tumour.

Have they told you what kind of tumour it is??

Brenda :)
