Introduction

Thanks for letting me join you. It's good to have support.

My name is Hylton Dennis. I am Jamaican. The first diagnosis of problems with my pituitary function was made in 1990. Then I did an MRI in 1996 after many specialist consultations. The MRI showed no mass. I was also diagnosed as semi-fertile, which was attributed to high prolactin secretions by the pituitary glands. My wife left me after 12 years of marriage because she wanted to have children and I didn't make her conceive. She had two since we broke up. I've been asked to do another MRI as there seems to be some certainty now that there's a tumor. I'm not handling the whole experience well. I've been through severe bouts of depression even though I'm a christian. I gained alot of weight then lost quite a bit but the belly and breasts aren't appealing. They're affecting my relationships. I especially want to hear the testimonies of those of you who have had surgery to remove macroadenoma or those who've been treated with bromocriptine, as I have, as an initial option to having surgery.

I also suffer from major depression since the age of 12, dont feel like u are alone because you are not.

Is what making u gain weight, the depression? or the meds?

Maybe some memebers here who are taking that med may help you with that.
