I think if we checked, we'd probably find that quite a few disabled people have some level of depression from chronic pain, from loss of their jobs, from dealing with the restriction caused by their disabilities and sometimes from how others treat us (including family). Here's an article on how to support someone that has depression and maybe it can help if you know some one that is depressed.
