My name is Dana and I have been struggling with bi-polar disorder for years. I also have asthma and diabetes.

My question is does anyone know whats never when its about to go into the court phase? How long does it take to go to court? My lawyer says it will be about a year before they will set a court date......which sux!

When it goes into that phase, what all takes place? Does anyone know......Dana

Hi Dana! I am pretty much at the same stage as you are on SSDI claim. You can expect a 10-12 month court date. I am told you and your attorney will go before the judge, submit any new evidence to support your case, answer questions, then the judge makes a decision. You should keep a semi-daily journal of how you feel and your symptoms. A list of meds also.

Woodsman is correct. It took about a year before I got to go before a judge. My attorney did most of the talking. He told me what to do also. Look the judge in the eyes, and make sure you're polite. Call him or her judge. Do all the yes sirs and such. Your lawyer will tell you everything to do, just not until right before the court time. I hope this helps.
