People that are disabled sadly can also end up in abusive relationships. An abuser can manipulate the victim driving down their self esteem by telling them they are worthless, they will never find anyone else, etc.

PLEASE read the two-page article below to find out the types of abuse so that you recognize what constitutes abuse (and there are all kinds). If you recognize yourself in that abuse, the article even tells you how to get out of the relationship. Don't stay with an abuser for the sake of the children, as the children suffer terribly in that home environment. And an abuser isn't going to change--they just say they have or they will.
